revitalization project-the AVENUE MARKET

Hollins Market is a historic public market in Southwest Baltimore that has been continuously serving the surrounding community since 1836 . There are currently eight merchants located within the market whose products range from fresh produce and meats to deli offerings and other freshly made prepared foods.Baltimore Public Markets Corporation is actively working on the renovation plan for Hollins Market and is seeking vendors who specialize in unique, local and artisanal products, as well as freshly prepared foods, who can engage our community and speak knowledgeable about the products they create and sell.

Black Acres Roastery is an artisan coffee roaster located in the Station North district of Baltimore. Every roast, they strive to bring out the best qualities in unique coffees from around the world. They ethically source beans and curate roasting profiles that provide each cup of coffee a story. Relationships from producers to customers are a central focus. Black Aces believes that making time to engage with one another in meaningful ways is crucial for building relationships and growing communities. They aim to provide an opportunity for all to have access to great tasting coffee.

The curtain is finally rising on the extensive makeover of Hollins Market, a historic gem among Baltimore city’s longstanding public markets.
Shuttered since the previous May, Baltimore Public Markets is now teasing glimpses of the anticipated transformation set to unfold this spring, aiming to deliver an enhanced shopping and dining environment.
With a $2.1 million investment, the Southwest Baltimore market is set to unveil a host of improvements, including longer operating hours, refreshed vendor spaces, and the introduction of new faces like a bakery, a casual market cafe for quick bites, and a grocery store, dubbed the Market at Hollins.
